About Almacon

AlmaCon is an anime and gaming convention hosted by Alma College Otaku and Gamers, an anime and gaming club at Alma College. For its fourth year, AlmaCon will be hosted at Alma College in Alma, MI February 7th-9th, 2014. First and foremost we wish to be able to provide entertainment for a low cost to our attendees, thereby enabling anyone to attend. Some of the fun events we provide include a vendor's room with a nice selection of various artists and dealers, a variety of panels by both panelists and professors, two anime viewing rooms, a video game room, a charity auction, and a charity rave. Remember to like us on Facebook or follow us on Tumblr or Twitter. We hope you join us for another fun year!

AlmaCon would like to officially announce Chris Niosi as an AlmaCon special guesssttt!!!!

In other news, the Events page has been updated to include times and dates for a number of major convention events. We would in addition like to specify some our convention's hours and registration time. With the exception of a couple of events that will be running 'til 1 a.m., here are our convention hours:

Friday 5 p.m. - 12 a.m.

Saturday 10 a.m. - 12 a.m.

Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

We're planning for registration to be open throughout the convention. So you can show up whenever and still get registered as long as it's during convention hours.

See you there!

New Website Is Online

>> posted 4:35am Central, June 1, 2013

Hello! It took us awhile but the website is back online and has a new theme. There are forms sorted away in the appropriate site sections for things like artist alley and volunteer signup. Expect a comprehensive list within twenty-four hours!

Something also to keep in mind is that we're still tweaking the site design, and on the lookout for an artist for our banner (and the con badges)! Compensation will be provided in the form of an art table in the artist's alley. Additional details will be announced pretty soon.

See you in the winter, and expect additional--and frequent--updates between now and then!

Edit: The form list is up as promised.
